Overview
The focus of this project has been to develop an application to manage an organization's money, stock, and real estate from donors. It has been another well qualified E-commerce project that SDIT started in September of 2007 and continues to be a top priority for our team.
Technology
We chose AJAX and C#.NET as the main development tools for this project.
AJAX is to present the user of the web an interface; it is regarded to be an asynchronous demand. With this methodology, web applications are able to operate fast and efficiently, also it can provide more benefits to users. In addition, AJAX decreases bandwidth use as the page does not need to be reloaded as HTML is produced locally from the browser.
C#, is the development tool of choice among programmers when creating complete distributed multi-tier Enterprise applications, embedded systems, Windows applications and Web applications. This programming language can efficiently and securely develop and build applications with sophisticated OSs for large corporations or even specialized and personal applications.
Solution
In accordance with the requirements of this project, we first made an appropriate frame design, with the process steps based on SDIT's immense experience in developing E-commerce projects. As for the designation of project team members, we hand picked seasoned experts who had previously completed successful E-commerce projects and who were able to quickly and fully understand the requirements of the project with little assistance.
Based on previous experience, we were also able to choose the most effective technologies to design the application. This project was created with the Windows and .NET operating systems, while the main development tools included C#.NET, AJAX and Visual Studio 2005. The team also decided to use the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 as the database system.
