Web-based Chatting System

Overview

SDIT helped a client through problem evaluation and solution creation, the result was the construction of a web online chatting system that enabled support for users in real time. This type of system has become increasingly popular within many companies, as it allows a company to quickly and effortlessly communicate with a client.

Technology

Considering all the functions that AJAX can offer to enhance web applications, SDIT's engineers concerned with the end user's experience, recommended implementing AJAX to better meet our client's needs. For example, when dealing with the online chatting system, SDIT's engineers developed the system to respond in real time so that the users can chat with each other without waiting for a response from the database. The altered system increased the efficiency of online communication and earned the client long-term competitiveness in their industry.

Solution

After communication between SDIT and the client, we were able to conclude that the type of system for our client would best benefit from was a web-based chatting system. The management team at SDIT quickly organized a development team for this project consisting of a seasoned group of technical professionals with previous experience in this area.

Then, we development the system based on functionality and practicability characteristics. The operating system of this project was Windows and .NET, while our professionals selected C#.NET, Reserved AJAX and Visual Studio 2005 as the development tools. With a strong understanding of what type of foundational tools would be best, our team chose the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 as the database.

For the technical professionals at SDIT, this project was neither a difficult nor complex system to develop, so it only took a total of 100 labor days for the team to finish this project. The management process at SDIT for this project was very effective so that the project could be accomplished within their personal budget and time deadlines.

Concerned that the end users would most likely want to use this kind of web-based online chatting system just as any other online chatting application, we contemplated and generated varying solutions that were given as suggestions to our client. This way, the system we delivered to our client would not only be perfect in technical regards but also a quality tool that would be valuable for business development.
