SDIT Obtains CMM3 Certification

From June 2nd to June 8th of 2005, a final assessment of Capacity Maturity Model Level 3 (CMM3) was taken at SDIT. SEI-Authorized CMM lead assessor, Mr. Cong Bin, declared on the final day that SDIT had passed the assessment and had earned CMM3 certification. It took 15 months of tireless preparation to receive this recognition.

Many organizations have deployed the Capability Maturity Model for Software (also known as the CMM or SW-CMM) as a method to identify best practices that are in turn beneficial in helping the company increase the maturity of their core processes.

With the approval of CMM level 3, SDIT has been able to become even more competitive in the global offshore software outsourcing market, enabling SDIT to deliver products and services of an even high caliber to satisfy clients.

The CMM (Capacity Maturity Model) describes the principles and practices underlying software process maturity. It is used to help software organizations improve the maturity of their software processes and offshore outsourcing processes by transforming chaotic processes into mature and disciplined software processes.
