2008 Annual List of China Software Productivity which is hosted by the China Software Industry Association and China Software Process Improvement System Branch (CSPIN) was recently launched and began the selection. A few days ago, CSPIN has issued a formal notice to all of the enterprises in this industry about the selection. As the only national industry organization in the area of software process improvement, CSPIN has successfully held the first Annual List of China Software Productivity in 2007, and it received high attention and participation from well-known software enterprises such as Neusoft, UF, shares in soft, Watson, HP.
Participating in the selection is helpful for the companies to be able to objectively calibrate their own position in the industry and set suitable goals for their own conditions. They can learn advanced experience of other companies, get knowledge of and introduce globally advanced producing technology and create opportunity for further enhancement, which help businesses maintain a sustainable competitive advantage.
Software productivity is defined as the capabilities to transfer the input into products, the most basic part of which is software R & D productivity. R & D productivity is mainly affected by staff capacity, technical capacity, process capability and other factors. The selection of company candidates starts from evaluating those several areas from a professional point of view.
The selected targets of 2008 Annual List of China Software Productivity being evaluated include software companies, outstanding consulting firms, tool makers, training institutions and outstanding individuals from these institutions in China which have made great achievement in improving productivity in the software and information services industry. The awards include the "top 20 software productivity" and "top 20 companies in delivering services outsourcing in time" The respective winners will be announced in soft Fair in June 2008 and the General Assembly CSSPI2008 in September.
