It is said at "Comprehensively Speed Up the Development of Software Industry Event" in Nanjing that in the next three years, Nanjing will invest 1 billion Yuan each year on the infrastructure construction and fulfilling various concessions reward policies of software industry.
For further promotion of developing software industry, Nanjing municipal government has organized the related government departments and software enterprises to hold ""Comprehensively Speed Up the Development of Software Industry Event". At the event, Nanjing Government has issued Policy Advices of Nanjing to Promote the Development of Software Industry, it will promote software industry from five aspects: increasing the government input, supporting to be bigger and stronger, optimizing imbarking incubation conditions, strengthen the training of qualified personnel and creating a favorable development environment. According to the document, from 2008 to 2010, the total investment of Nanjing should not be less than 3 billion Yuan, there should be more than 1 billion Yuan used on supporting software industry, constructing the infrastructure of software industry and fulfilling various preferential policies. In addition, the financial bureau will arrange 1 billion Yuan each year to develop software industry and increase year by year, in order to promote the investment of enterprises and social markets to software industry.
For encouraging software enterprises to become bigger and stronger, Nanjing government has decided to intensify the hortation to software enterprises and software talents. According to the above document, the government will give those enterprises which have firstly invested more than 1 billion Yuan, 500 million Yuan and 100 million Yuan in one year with the rewards of 1 million Yuan, 500 thousand Yuan and 100 thousand Yuan.
In recent years, the software industry in Nanjing has made rapid development. In 2007, the sales of Nanjing software industry have reached 36.28 billion Yuan with export of 510 million US dollars, the offshore software outsourcing industry accounts for 97% of the city. There are more than 1100 software enterprises of which 573 enterprises have got certification with 49.1% of Jiangsu province.
