Yesterday, the Ministry of Science and Technology convened the six major high-tech park to meet in Chengdu, and sign the "Chengdu Consensus" to establish a "world class".
Responsible people of those six high-tech parks discussed the policy system design and future work mechanism. The finally signed "Chengdu Consensus" outlined the next steps to create "a world-class park" common program: six high-tech parks will accord with their circumstances, to shape a more complete ideas and initiatives in creating local environment improvement, gathering innovative entrepreneurs resources, transforming the results of independent innovation, developing the national science and technology enterprises and enhancing growth in special industries, shape a number of international competitive innovation clusters; six high-tech parks should lead the common development of national high-tech zones, unity together, learn from each other and strive to create a development environment gathering all kinds of innovative elements, build a technological innovation system setting enterprises as the main, and combining production and research, jointly push forward the implement of national independent innovation strategy; six high-tech parks should establish regular exchange system, strengthen mutual cooperation, sum up experience in practice, and explore the high-tech industry development road with Chinese characteristics, so that the national high-tech zones will be an important carrier truly promote state technological progress and independent innovation capacity, and become a powerful engine in China's economic restructuring and transformation of the mode of economic growth, become the service platform for high-tech enterprises to participate in international competition, and be a forward position of high-tech industry to seize the high ground in the world.

It is reported that Chengdu now ranks fourth in six major high-tech zones; the park has a large number of well-known multinational companies. In the process of creating a "world class", the Chengdu High-tech Zone raised the thinking of the next two years' operation: accelerating the development of electronic information gathering, biomedical, precision machinery manufacturers as the three leading industries, create software and services outsourcing, integrated circuits, communications, Optoelectronic, biomedical, precision machinery manufacturing, and other advanced industrial clusters; improve the building of innovation system; speed up the building of Tianfu Metro. By 2010, the park added value production will reach 100 billion yuan, and with three to five transnational enterprises of more than 10 billion yuan sale, 500 new high-tech enterprises.
