Yesterday, the Chengdu Hi-tech Zone announced the general planning of Tianfu which is positioned to be a technology business area led by the software and services outsourcing industry. 58 infrastructure projects are identified to be finished this year with the total investment of 2.98 billion yuan in order to present a modern, post-modern and open city landmark in 3-5 years.
Tianfu is located on both sides of the Tianfu Road, including southern part of the high-tech park and the Dayuan part. The total employment population after the completion will be 620,000 (including the 200 to 300 thousand employees in software and services outsourcing industry), and the living population will be 600,000.
Jinggang, the the secretary of the Work Committee of the High-tech zone, expressed that Tianfu construction will change the traditional government-led development model, and will use model of government-led together with the operation of the market itself in order to make full use of market and the social forces to promote the building of the new city. 58 projects of infrastructure construction are identified in this year with a total investment 2.98 billion yuan, and they will be implemented according to their importance.
