Shenzhen will set up China's first "Software Outsourcing Trading Center¡± by the end of this year, upon the completion of which all software enterprises in the city will participate in international competition under the brand of "Shenzhen" and explore international software outsourcing market jointly. This is the news from the Forum on Software and Services outsourcing held in Shenzhen on May 6.
Hua Xia, the President of Shenzhen Information Software Association, said that Shenzhen's software industry holds an important position in the country, but it is short of investments compared to Beijing, Shanghai and other cities. It is difficult for the many local software companies to compete with internationally large enterprises due their smaller scale of business. In order to promote the development of software industry especially the software outsourcing business, Shenzhen is actively seeking for new ways for software outsourcing development.
It is said that the Centre will use the system of online trading platform, improve the overall supporting facilities and investment environment for services outsourcing industries and enterprises, optimize the professional environment for providing services, gradually establish and improve the favorable policy system for the development of services outsourcing industry, and sponsor the services outsourcing companies to develop the international market. The Centre will also invite a group of top international software experts to join the efforts of 160,000 software practitioners in the city which will greatly increase the capability of software development and outsourcing of Shenzhen.
