The fresh start to 2008 has renewed SDIT management and staff strength as a plan for SDIT's future has become further defined. The formation of a tangible and highly detailed outline of what course SDIT will take this year, in order to reach our goal of becoming the leading Chinese Software and IT Outsourcing Service Provider, has been well worth the time spent as staff has been busily implementing these actions. One of the bigger hurdles this year, which we are confidently striding towards each day, is to obtain Capability Maturation Model Integration Level 4 Certification or simply CMMI 4.
It was only a few years back when we obtained Level 3 certification in this well known quality assurance process, yet SDIT is a growing company consisting of absolute perfectionists keen on showcasing our company's excellent array of quality IT services and to prove that our processes are very well established. Let's just say that the SDIT team is very set on reaching this milestone.
Regarding this important step, staff has really put forth a great deal of effort as they continue to regularly attend scheduled trainings, in order to prepare for the long and detailed assessment. Do keep in mind, that projects have already been keeping everyone busy enough, so from our Project Managers to the newest members of our team, these intense regular training sessions are scheduled in accordance to the time frame that works best to get everything accomplished. These trainings can consist of only a few hours time but can also take up an entire day, and although a majority of them have been conducted at our company, our team members have been willing to go out of their way and travel to other areas of the city to attend the trainings as well. The phrase "Team Work" and "Team Spirit" are conjured up when we take a look at everyone's effort.
It can very well be said that every single person at SDIT is eager to accomplish this assessment, and to do so with flying colors! Just ask any member of our staff. Our qualifications as a top notch Outsourcing Provider with strong Quantitative Processes will be proven with the CMMI Level 4 Certification, as this specific level requires companies having obtained this certification to have very strong and well qualified processes that are well recorded and quantitative in nature. This is important for software companies as the risk of planning flaws and other business risks are always associated with Outsourcing Providers in China, or at least historically so. However, this year, SDIT is even more focused than ever on proving to foreign companies that Chinese Outsourcing Providers are no longer what they used to be and that the "Made in China" fear can not be applied to every industry or even company.
So, along with our various other forward looking plans, which are already showing signs of significant success, our SDIT team is placing a great deal of effort into ensuring that we obtain CMMI 4 through diligent effort and holistic teamwork.
